A room of your own, in a place you can call home.

We don't just fill rooms. We build households where the right people find each other and are matched on compatibility, lifestyle, values and how they actually live. Our first homes will open once our real estate licence is granted, and those who register their interest will hear first.

You'll know if this is you.

  • New to Perth

You have the job and the suburb shortlist, but no interest in furnishing a flat for one or starting a whole new social circle from scratch.

  • Between swings

You work away and want a real home to come back to, not a locked room you're paying for while you're gone.

  • Done with the big house

You want company without giving up your privacy or independence, and one simple weekly payment instead of a house full of bills.

  • Over ordinary share houses

You've done the group chat lease and the missing milk economics. Now you want a household that's thoughtfully matched and properly looked after.

And honestly, who it is not for

If you want a whole place to yourself, renting on your own will probably suit you better. And if your priority is simply the cheapest room in the suburb, an ordinary share house may cost less. Our homes cost more because they include the things that make shared living easier: the household is thoughtfully matched, the home is furnished, bills are included, and someone actually looks after the place.

Four steps to finding the right home and household.

  1. Say hello

Tell us who you are, where you'd like to live and when. There's no commitment, and you'll hear from us first as homes become available.

  2. Talk it through

A real conversation about how you like to live. Do you prefer mornings or nights, company or quiet? How do you feel about guests and noise? There are no wrong answers.

  3. Meet the household

When we find a home that feels like a fit, you'll see it for yourself, meet the people you may be living with and get a feel for how the household works before you decide.

  4. Move in and settle

Your room, your key, one simple weekly payment and someone to call if you need them. Then you settle in and make the place your own.

Your own room, your own key. People, when you want them.

The fear about co-living is losing yourself in it. That's why your own space comes first: your room is yours alone, with a door that locks, an ensuite in most homes, and a weekly rate that covers the lot. The shared spaces are there for the moments you want company, conversation and the feeling of being part of a household.

A quiet corner of a living room in afternoon sun: a dark glass-fronted cabinet with a stoneware jug and a shallow bowl, a potted olive tree against cream curtains, and window light falling in stripes across the timber floor. An illustrative interior, not a Gather & Stay property.

What a day in the house could look like.

  • A made bed with white linen and a striped fringed cushion, beside a dark round table holding a sculptural glazed lamp and a single candle. An illustrative interior, not a Gather & Stay property.
    a room that's just yours
  • A white teapot with a cane handle and a glazed cup of tea on a round timber tray, on a weathered dark timber table
a cuppa to start the day
  • A cream armchair with timber arms and a rust sherpa cushion in the corner of a room, a floor lamp throwing warm light across the wall behind it
a place to unwind after work
  • Plates of roast dinner on a table, ham, chicken, potatoes and stuffing, with someone serving from a tray behind
    dinner with mates, whoever's home
  • Two women sitting on a pale sofa mid-conversation, one gesturing as she talks and the other listening
someone's always up for a chat

One weekly rate, and the awkward parts handled.

  • Bills included

Electricity, water, gas and internet in the weekly rate, so there is no group admin and no chasing housemates.

  • Furnished common areas

Kitchen, living and dining set up and ready. Bring your own room, not a whole house of furniture.

  • Household matching

We will match on lifestyle, values and how people actually live, so you know something real about who you are moving in with before you move in.

  • Professional management

One point of contact for maintenance and questions, rather than a group chat where nobody is responsible. A community host looks after the day-to-day life of the household, helping with shared-living issues and keeping things running smoothly, while the property manager looks after the property.

What the difference buys.

A room here costs more than a basic share house, but less than renting a place of your own. The difference is what's included: furniture, bills, shared spaces and a professionally managed household.

Here's what that looks like compared with renting on your own.

Asked and answered.

A household built to work.

Matching starts with a questionnaire and a real conversation about how you live: your routines, preferences and what matters to you. We then look at how people are likely to live together, rather than simply filling an available room.

Each household will have a simple house agreement, shaped with the people who live there, with a community host to support residents with shared-living matters and one point of contact for maintenance and property matters.

The questions we talk through before any house is offered:

  • Early starts, late nights, or shifts and rosters?

  • How tidy do you like the shared spaces, and when do the dishes get done?

  • How much company do you want at home?

  • How do you feel about guests, and about noise?

  • Anything that is a firm no for you, like smoking?

There are no wrong answers.

We use a structured, data-driven process to build households we think will live well together. We do our best to honour your preferences, but we cannot guarantee that every preference will be met.

More than a room. A household.

Our first homes are on the way, and the people who register their interest early will help shape the households we create. Tell us a little about yourself and what you're looking for, and you'll hear first when a home that feels right is ready.
