What we collect

We collect the information you give us:

• through our forms: your name, email address and phone number, and depending on the form, the location of your property or the area you are looking in, your organisation, your timing and your message
• when you email or call us

Our website host records standard technical information, such as IP address and browser type, for security. We use privacy-friendly website analytics that count visits without cookies and without identifying you. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

Please do not send health or disability information through our forms. If it becomes relevant, for example when helping an SDA provider find residents for a home, we will collect it separately, explain why, and ask for your consent first.

Why we collect it

• to respond to your enquiry, including by phone
• to assess whether we can help with a property
• to keep you on our list if you registered your interest
• to help SDA providers find suitable residents for their homes
• to keep records of the advice and engagements we provide
• to send occasional updates about our services, new homes and other opportunities we think are relevant to you

Every update includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information.

If you enquire about a listed home, we share your details with the home’s owner or provider, such as the SDA provider, so they can consider you for it.

We use trusted service providers to run our website, email and enquiry records. Some of them store information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to our professional advisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and for as long as the law requires.

You can ask us to delete your details at any time, and we will, unless the law requires us to keep something.

Keeping it secure

Information is sent over encrypted connections, and access to our systems is limited and protected by multi-factor authentication. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@gatherandstaycollective.com.au. There is no charge, and we may need to confirm who you are first. We will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

Contact us first at hello@gatherandstaycollective.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our practices change, and the effective date at the top will show when.
